Materials may be checked out with a valid GC picture ID or a valid
library card. Materials may be renewed online
or by telephone (535-7427). Check out times and renewal options are

Materials may be recalled if they are needed by faculty for a class.

Recorded tapes of chapels and convocations on campus are available at the circulation desk. Tapes are kept for a semester and then removed. A few public lectures may also be available. Call the circulation desk (574-535-7427) with questions.
Tapes may be checked out overnight or for 2-hours during the day. (Listening carrels are available in the basement of the library.)
Materials that must be shared among a number of students are placed on reserve at the circulation desk for use in the library. Circulation rules for these materials include:
- One reserve at a time per person.
- Two hour checkout - renewable if not in heavy demand.
- If the professor as approved overnight checkout, an item may be checked out two hours before closing and is due back next day one-half hour after the library opens.
- Not renewable by phone
- Fines charged at the rate of $1.00 per hour.
Some materials are also available on the web as E-Reserves. You will be prompted for your GC username and password.
Periodicals may be used only in the library. Current issues of selected periodicals are shelved in the first floor NewsNook, while back issues are located on the third floor of the library.
Many of the back issues of periodicals are stored on microforms. Print machines are available for making copies at 10 cents per page.
